Vican SA was founded in 1976 by Mr. Nikos Anagnostakis, president of the company, in a small shop on Magnisias Street in Athens. Initially, the company was involved in the distribution of personal hygiene products, but also products whose main place of sale was the supermarket. After 1990, the company focused exclusively on the pharmaceutical field, representing innovative products and brands that even today hold a leading position in their category. The extensive range of high-quality products covers a wide range of health and care needs of a modern family.

Now VICAN employs over 65 people and its organizational structure includes 7 key departments. All its activities (except the storage of medicines) are carried out in 3 modern and privately owned facilities with a total area of 5,000 sq.m.

All these years, Vican has managed to be considered one of the leading companies in its field in the Greek market, with its main characteristics being quality products, prompt service, continuous investment in new products, and its human and family culture.

In recent years, the new generation has taken over the reins, continuing the work of the president and founder of the company based on the vision and values that represent it, drawing a new dynamic development strategy. In this context, the company invests in assets, in human resources, and in the development and production of its own, innovative products in the categories of food supplements, medical technology, cosmetics, and biocidal products with their common characteristics being the quality of the ingredients and their effective action.

Vican SA has secured the exclusive distribution of products from major European factories. Some of the most important brands that it has established in the Greek pharmacy sector by holding leading positions are the Varisan graded compression socks, the Cer'8 insect repellent range, Herb smoking filters, the complete Carnation foot care range, and Chewy Vites children's vitamins.

In 2012, the company started a strong collaboration with Philips Hellas by undertaking the exclusive distribution and sale of the Philips Avent baby development products in the Greek pharmacy network, while in 2021 the collaboration was extended to include the products of the Philips Sonicare series. In 2022, Vican announced its partnership with Help Pharmaceuticals, taking over the exclusive distribution, sale, and promotion of the wound-healing products Abilar and the phlebotonic/vasoprotective drug Vein Plus.

In Greece, the company collaborates with the majority of pharmacies, large cosmetic chains, orthopedic stores, supermarkets, and drug warehouses as well as with all pharmacists' cooperatives.

Vican SA maintains a nationwide sales department, as well as a fully organized and highly trained medical information department. The company manages orders and distribution in-house while at the same time supporting the products it represents with integrated communication actions.

The company is certified according to the international standards of ISO 9001:2000 by EKEVYL.
